1. Welcome to TeenX

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TeenX. By using our app, you agree to follow these rules. We tried to write this in plain English so it's easy to understand. If anything is unclear, just ask us!

2. Who Can Use TeenX

TeenX is designed for young people aged 10 to 25. If you're under 16, your parent or guardian needs to give permission for you to use the app (we'll walk them through it — it's quick). If you're under 10, sorry — this app isn't for you yet. Come back when you're a little older!

3. Acceptable Use

TeenX is here to help you grow. Please use it in a way that's respectful and positive:

Do

  • Be honest and authentic in your journaling
  • Set real goals and work toward them
  • Use the app to learn and grow
  • Respect other users in community features
  • Tell us if you find bugs or have ideas

Don't

  • Use the app to bully, harass, or harm anyone
  • Share harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • Try to hack, exploit, or break the app
  • Pretend to be someone else
  • Spam other users or the system

4. Your Content

Everything you create in TeenX — journal entries, goals, notes — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content. By using the app, you give us permission to store your content and process it to provide you with features like AI insights and mood tracking. We will never use your content for advertising or share it with third parties without your permission (except as described in our Privacy Policy).

5. AI Features & Insights

TeenX uses AI to provide features like journal analysis, mood insights, and personalized recommendations. Here's what you should know:

  • AI suggestions are just that — suggestions. They're not professional advice.
  • If the app detects you might be going through a tough time, it will offer crisis support resources. This is a safety feature, not a judgment.
  • Your journal content is processed to generate insights but is not used to train AI models.
  • If you're uncomfortable with AI processing, you can turn off AI features in Settings.

6. Important Safety Notice

TeenX is not a substitute for professional help.If you're struggling with your mental health, feeling unsafe, or in crisis, please reach out to a trusted adult, a counselor, or a crisis helpline. Your life matters.

7. Limitation of Liability

TeenX is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep the app running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be perfect or available. We're not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the app, including (but not limited to) loss of data, interrupted service, or decisions made based on AI insights. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid to use the app (which, if you're using the free version, is zero).

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, we'll notify you in the app. Your continued use of TeenX after changes means you accept the new Terms.

9. Ending These Terms

You can stop using TeenX at any time. If you want to delete your account and all your data, just go to Settings and use the "Delete My Data" option. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, but we'll try to work with you first.
