What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. TeenX uses cookies and local storage (a similar browser technology) to keep you logged in and remember your preferences.

Cookies we use

Essential cookies

The cx_token cookie keeps you logged in between visits. It is HttpOnly (not accessible to JavaScript), Secure (HTTPS only), and SameSite=Lax (protects against CSRF). Without this cookie, you would need to log in on every page load.

Cookie consent

The cx_cookie_consent cookie remembers that you accepted or declined non-essential cookies. It lasts 6 months.

Local storage

Your journal entries, habits, mood data, and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you enable Cloud Sync. You can clear it at any time from Settings.

Cookies we do NOT use

  • Advertising or tracking cookies (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
  • Third-party analytics cookies (we use privacy-friendly PostHog, which can be disabled)
  • Social media cookies (like/share buttons)
  • Cross-site tracking cookies

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in. You can also clear all TeenX data from Settings → Data Management.
