Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 2026

TeenX is a space for teenagers to grow, reflect, and support each other. These guidelines keep it safe, kind, and useful for everyone.

Be kind and respectful

  • Treat others the way you want to be treated — with empathy and patience.
  • No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
  • Respect different opinions, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • If someone is struggling, offer encouragement, not judgment.

Be honest and authentic

  • Share your real experiences — growth comes from honesty, not perfection.
  • Don't impersonate others or create fake accounts.
  • Don't share false or misleading information.

Keep it safe

  • No sharing of personal contact information (phone numbers, addresses, school names).
  • No content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or substance abuse.
  • No sexual or explicitly violent content.
  • If you see something concerning, use the report button or contact a trusted adult.

Protect privacy

  • Don't share someone else's private information without their consent.
  • Don't screenshot or share other people's journal entries or personal reflections.
  • Respect that everyone's growth journey is personal.

Crisis support

If you or someone you know is in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please reach out for help immediately. TeenX has a Crisis Toolkit with country-specific helplines. You can also contact local emergency services or a trusted adult. You are not alone, and help is available.

What happens if guidelines are broken

  • First violation: a warning and removal of the content.
  • Repeated violations: temporary suspension of community features.
  • Severe violations (threats, illegal content): permanent account closure.
  • We report illegal content to the appropriate authorities when required by law.

Reporting

To report a violation, email safety@teenx.app with a description and screenshot if possible. We review all reports within 48 hours.
